I sort of feel sorry for Zeitgeist. Not only are they Swedish but they sound just like the Knife. When Silent Shout infiltrated our lives Zeitgeist had the brilliant idea to credit this song “Tar Heart” as the last song on the album, calling it “F as in Knife” or more literally “Fake Knife”. I think it’s great to hear another act so closely related to the Knife with influences apparent with Kate Bush and the dirty-electro scene, but it feels a little tainted to hear this without thinking it’s just a big ol’ rip-off. That’s okay, I’ll always love my Swedes (i.e. Karen + Olaf, Lykke Li, Cardigans).
